urine or serum
    Container / Tube: 7 ml yellow serum separator Vacutainer® tube
or 7 ml red Vacutainer® tube
or clean screw cap container for urine
    Minimum Volume: 1 ml
Special Handling or Timing of Specimen: When submitting urine for testing, first morning specimens generally contain the highest concentrations of hCG.

If a negative result is obtained, but pregnancy is suspected, another sample should be collected after 48 - 72 hours.
