11/03/2009
Roc McCarthy, D.O., will begin seeing new patients in November

WILMINGTON – Urologist Roc McCarthy, D.O., has opened an office in Pender County, giving area residents easier access to help for urologic conditions. Dr. McCarthy’s practice, Urology Comprehensive Services, is part of the NHRMC Physician Group. Its Burgaw office will be across the street from Pender Memorial Hospital’s main entrance, 507 East Freemont Street, beginning November 4. Dr. McCarthy offers the latest in minimally invasive procedures, including advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures.

“I wanted to open my practice in Pender County because these types of services are not currently offered here,” says McCarthy. “I am looking forward to providing care for people closer to their home.”

Dr. McCarthy attended medical school at the Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Kentucky. After completion, he completed his residency at Detroit Medical Center in Michigan.

Urology Comprehensive Services also has a location at 2512 Delaney Avenue in Wilmington and offers treatments for many common urologic conditions including kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, urinary incontinence, enlarged prostate, and bladder, kidney and prostate cancers.

For more information or to schedule your appointment at any of the locations, please call 910.254.1033.
